Bangladesh Society of Pathologists (BSP), is dedicated to enhancing high quality research and education in pathology in its broadest sense. The Society hosts a major conference once a year with outstanding speakers on a range of topics from histopathology, cytopathology, microbiology and biochemistry to diagnostic practice.. Membership is open to all individuals involved in pathological practice, research and education and includes subscription to our Society Journal, Bangladesh Journal of Pathology which remains one of the foremost and highest impact journals in the field. This website provides information on society activities and we welcome you to join us as the society continues to grow.

28th National Convention of Bangladesh Society of Pathologists was held on 30th May 2010 in Winter Garden of Dhaka Sheraton Hotel. Inaugural session was presided over by Professor Dr. Tehmina Hussain. Professor Dr. AFM Ruhul Haque MP, Honourable Minister, Health and Family Welfare was chief guest. Capt. (Retd) Dr. Mozibur Rahman Fakir MP, Honourable State Minister, Health and family Welfare was special guest. Professor Dr. Mahmud Hasan, President, BMA, Professor Dr. Shah Munir Hossain, Director General of Health Service, Professor Dr. Pran Gopal Datta, Vice Chancellor,  BSMMU, Professor Dr. Sharfuddin Ahmed, Secretary General, BMA, were guests. Professor (Retd) Dr. Nazrul Islam, Department of Virology, BSMMU was guest of honour. Inaugural seesion was held between two scientific sessions. A cultural program and dinner were enjoyed at 7:30 PM at the same venue.

7th Postgraduate Course on Histopathology and Cytopathology, 2009, jointly organized by BSP, WHO and DGHS was held on  22 through 25 March 2009, in MEU, Dhaka Medical College. The CME was  Directed by Dr. M B Zaman, New York Medical College. Other Faculties were  Dr. Monwar Hossain, Assistant professor of pathology, Dalhowsi University, Canada, Dr. Humayun K Islam, Assistatnt Professor of Haematopathology, New York Medical College and Dr. Towfique A Bhuya, Associate professor of Pathology, Sir Albert Einestein Medical College, New York. About 76 pathologists participated the CME.
